The Normal MFer

2025–2026

A 10 episode indie animated series, based on the "Are you winning son?" meme. Michael (MFer), who just finished college and still lives with his parents, is going through a series of adventures, in hope to become rich, get the girl of his dreams and find meaning in life. The show focuses on the "new generation" problem of feeling lost in a rapidly evolving world.

I was in charge of animation, layout and coloring.

The Sixth Campfire

2024

This is my graduation film. A 2.5D doco-animated short film.
Six friends meet every year to set up a campfire. But what seems to be an ordinary get-together, turns out to be a commemoration ceremony, in which the group comes together to cope with the death of their absent friend. This relevant film resonates in the viewers' hearts, and has achieved great success and various awards in festivals and programs.

I was in charge of character design, animation, editing, sound design and post-production.

A Very Old Man with
Enormous Wings

2023

This is my third year's short film.
A humorous animated adaptation of a short story by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. An angel is discovered and captivated by a married couple's house. The angel can grant wishes, but the results are usually not good. As the villagers demand that the angel fulfill their wishes, their materialism, stupidity, ignorance, prejudice, and narrow-mindedness is revealed.

I was in charge of layout, animation, sound editing and post-production.

About Me

My name is Lior, a 2024 graduate of the Screen Arts Department at Bezalel Academy. While I am able to handle a wide range of styles in my work, I focus on 2D animation, pencil and graphite drawing, color, and anatomy. I passionately create, draw, and try to challenge myself with new art styles, while preserving a classic, precise, and clean aesthetic in my artworks. I currently live in Japan, and aim to blend in the Japanese animation industry!
In my spare time, I enjoy playing music, hiking, surfing and reading.
